You feel stuck

Life should feel fuller than this.

You’ve tried to push through, stay busy, or make sense of it but nothing seems to quiet the restlessness. You want to feel grounded, alive, and at peace, not just functional.

Something deeper needs attention.

Therapy that helps you feel more like yourself again.

Through honest, thoughtful conversation, therapy helps identify the emotional and relational patterns that continue to shape how you think, feel, and respond, often outside of awareness. By understanding how these patterns developed and how they show up in the present, we create space for greater clarity, emotional flexibility, and a more grounded sense of connection to yourself and others.

  • Individual Therapy

Deep insight that leads to lasting change

We use a psychoanalytic approach to help you understand the conscious and unconscious patterns shaping how you think, feel, and relate. By slowing the work down and focusing on emotional experience as it unfolds, individual therapy brings clarity to how these patterns developed and how they continue to influence your present life.

Over time, this understanding supports greater emotional flexibility, clearer boundaries, and a more grounded sense of self. Change emerges through insight that is lived and integrated, not forced.

  • Couples Therapy

    Strengthening connection and emotional security

Couples therapy offers a collaborative space to explore communication, conflict, and emotional connection. We work together to understand the relational patterns that develop over time and how they shape the way partners respond to one another.

By slowing reactive cycles and attending to what is happening emotionally between partners, couples can rebuild trust, strengthen honesty, and create a relationship that feels more secure and satisfying.

  • Family Therapy

Treating the system beneath the symptoms

Family therapy is grounded in the understanding that difficulties emerge within a family’s emotional structure, history, and unspoken roles. Rather than focusing on one individual, we look at patterns of interaction and how they influence the family as a whole.

Through guided conversation and reflection, families gain insight into these dynamics, communicate more clearly, and develop healthier ways of relating that support stability and connection.

about us

I’m Harrison Tract, LCSW, founder of Apex Minds Psychotherapy.

I began my professional life in finance, an experience that gave me a close view of how high performance and internal struggle often coexist. My own recovery journey and over a decade of sobriety inform the way I work today, shaping a clinical style that is clear, grounded, and oriented toward meaningful change.

After graduating from Emory University, I began my career in finance and later transitioned into clinical work. I trained as a substance use counselor at Hazelden Betty Ford, one of the country’s leading treatment centers for addiction and recovery, where I worked closely with individuals and families navigating substance use disorders. I then joined Ellenhorn in New York City, a nationally respected program specializing in complex psychiatric and substance use conditions. There, I served as the Integrated Dual Diagnosis Coordinator, overseeing addiction treatment across the New York program and collaborating closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary clinical teams before entering private practice.

At Apex Minds Psychotherapy, I lead the practice and remain closely involved in the clinical work. I provide direct supervision and clinical oversight, bringing the same clinical depth and rigor that has shaped my own practice into the care we offer. Our approach is psychoanalytic and relational, designed for people who value depth, discretion, and traction rather than surface-level solutions. We pay close attention to affect, including what is happening in the body as patterns emerge in real time, and integrate insight with action. The therapy relationship itself becomes a place to understand long-standing dynamics and create durable change. This is a space for people who carry significant responsibility and want clarity, steadiness, and engagement that holds up under pressure.
